The doorsets shown above provide an enhanced level of security as standard, with a locking system fitted and tested to the latest British Standards. Combined with the technology and design, these doorsets provide an exceptional resistance to forced entry. The security doorsets are supplied as a complete doorset with frame and ironmongery fully factory assembled.

Performance

High thermal performance is an ever increasing requirement to protect against heat loss, so along with the security aspect provided, these doorsets can provide Uvalues as low as 0.9W/m2K. The timber composite material which the doors are manufactured from provides stability, resisting heat and cold without twisting or bowing.

Glass Specifications

Door styles with glazing incorporate 24mm low emissivity gas filled glazing units for maximum energy saving. The outer pane is laminated as standard, meeting the requirements of BS6262 Part 4:1994

CONSTRUCTION

Sturdily built from high quality veneered Oak, these engineered 44mm doors will create a striking impression for any entrance. Practical as well as beautiful, complete with 5" stiles to take a wide range of locking mechansims. The frame is PEFC certified softwood finished in a base coat stain as standard, complete with a silver effect mobility threshold. The doorset is supplied as standard with brown adjustable hinges (white is an option). The door is left hand hung when viewed from the outside. Multipoint locking system is standard.

Optional extras include Secure By Design, Hardwood frame, Letterplate, security chain, door viewer and right hand hung doors.

The composite door is best described as a combination of the top attributes of all types of modern door materials. Unlike some other doors composite, sometimes know as GRP, will not splinter, dent or rust assuring you of a good investment in your property and up to six times greater heat insulation than a compariable timber door. With today's emphasis on energy conservation this can only be better news for both your home and your heating bills.

CONSTRUCTION

The environmentally friendly polyurethane core is 100% CFC-Free and offers enhanced sound and heat insulation. The thermoset manufacturing process means that the panel will not expand or contract with changing temperatures. The skin of the door is manufactured from GRP (Glass reinforced polymer) making it resistant to any high impact situation. The wood grain skin is pre-pigmented enabling it to be waterproof and scratch resistant.

OPERATION

All doorsets are fitted with an espagnolette locking system, tested to the requirements of PAS23/24 as standard and white adjustable hinges that fit internally.
